The MIM Program (Mercadex Internationalization Method) is a step by step approach that accompanies the enterprise in the design and execution of its internationalization plan. This program is addressed to groups of companies. The goal is to equip the enterprise with a structured international strategic plan guaranteeing it entry into foreign markets but above all, profitable and sustainable growth. The approach’s main points: • Sustained and made-to-measure support (training – coaching – follow-up) of the enterprise in the structuring of a practical and profitable approach for its international business. • Proven approach that considers the firm’s entire value chain (from sourcing to marketing). • Program focused on practical experience and the participants’ own involvement in internationalization issues. • A transfer of practical and technical knowhow (from the Mercadex expert to the participating firm). • Training manual describing the steps and the procedures for designing and executing an enterprise’s internationalization plan. • MIM Certificate of accreditation awarded by Mercadex International. Five modules adapted to the needs of the enterprise, from concept to implementation: • Module A : The International Qualification • Module B : Pinpointing, selecting and prioritizing markets • Module C : International validation • Module D : Planning the international strategy • Module E : Execution – Follow-up The tools and practices of the MIM are recognized in Canada as well as abroad and are founded upon a wealth of enterprise achievements and experiences in foreign markets as well as on 10 years of research on the internationalization of the firm. Target clientele: Groups of companies (eg. sectoral associations, ministries or governmental agencies, chambers of commerce etc.) whose entrepreneurs, chief executives and managers wish to secure a return on international expansion and their firm’s growth. Note that the program necessitates the participant’s active and determined involvement throughout each of its steps.
